FLOWERS

How do I care for my flowers?

There are a few ways to prolong the life of your blooms:

Hand-tie: Cut your stems on an angle before placing them in water. Use cool, fresh water and replace it daily. Trim your stems on an angle every 2-3 days with a sharp knife or scissors

Clear Vase Arrangement: Add fresh, cool water daily. Or, even better, gently cinch together your flowers at the top of the vase and lift them out to replace the water daily. Trim stems on an angle every 2-3 days with a sharp knife or scissors.

Vessel Arrangement: Add fresh, cool water daily. Do not try to replace the water or remove the blooms. They have been carefully arranged, and may have mechanics (tape or wiring) to hold them in place.

  • Remove any spent blooms, or browning foliage or petals. Make sure no foliage is below the water line.

  • Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight, heat, or cold drafts, and away from fruit.

  • You can pop your flowers into the fridge overnight if you have room.

How long do flowers last?

On average, flowers and arrangements will be fresh for about 3-7 days. Some varieties of flowers fade more quickly than others (like peonies), and others will last up to 2-weeks (like carnations).

One of the best things about flowers is their ephemeral nature -- that we get to enjoy their beauty for a limited amount of time. Flowers are a gentle reminder to slow down and live in the moment.

Can you include a specific flower in the arrangement?

Please ask! We might not be able to accommodate your request, but we will do our very best. Whenever possible, it’s best to let us know well in advance so we can try to source it for you.

What's the difference between a hand-tie and an arrangement?

A hand-tie is a bunch of flowers gently arranged, and ready to be placed in a vase at home. An arrangement comes designed in a vessel (typically a glass or ceramic vase, compote, or pot).

Do you design wedding flowers?

Yes, absolutely! We currently design for small weddings and elopements.

Can I order a hand-tie for a wedding bouquet?

No. Hand-ties are not equivalent to a wedding bouquet. Wedding florals take significantly more time, care, sourcing, and designing than a hand-tie. We will not put together a hand-tie for a wedding as this does not reflect the level of quality we strive for with wedding florals.
